The Koss is more of a retro fashion novelty then a serious listening product but fun. At first listening the Koss Porta Pro is a warm open sounding headphones with reasonable comfort depending on head size and ear sensitivity. I liked the retro style and compact design is great for travel. Specs are impressive for a lightweight headphone.
strip the outer jacket off of about 10-12" of the wire, clip the bare copper shielding at the base of the cut (wont be needing it), and make two twisted pairs out of the 4 wires. black/red, and blue/clear. heat shrink over where you cut the jacket, where the two twisted pairs split off.

That all looks pretty decent on paper, not class-leading, no mention of a low latency mode or the latest Bluetooth 5.3 standard but for listening to music it should be fine. My issue with the Koss Porta Pro Wireless is…. the wires. What an absolute letdown. The ATH-M50x are great sounding headphones with a sound that may fall in the neutral category, but with very slight boosts to the bass and highs; a slightly V-shaped sound. The bass is full and has a lot of power. The sub bass has a hint of elevation though, which can make the bass sound a bit loose on hip-hop or EDM tracks. The mids are fairly jqkUp.
